Introduction
This initiative is designed to explore how serious board games can be developed and utilized as powerful tools for education, particularly for vulnerable groups. Together with our international partners, we aim to transform learning experiences and foster social inclusion through game-based methodologies.
The First Transnational Project Meeting
The I-GAME project kicked off with a productive transnational meeting in April 2022, hosted by Challedu in Greece. Representatives from Dracon Rules Design Studio, Archon Studio (Poland), and Asociatia Share Education (Romania) came together to exchange ideas and establish the project's roadmap. The discussions centered on the educational potential of serious board games, and we outlined the development phases to ensure the project's success.
Objectives of the I-GAME Project
The project aims to:
- Develop and refine methodologies for creating educational board games.
- Equip educators with tools to engage vulnerable groups.
- Promote cross-sector collaboration to address diverse educational needs.
- Disseminate results to stakeholders in education and the board game industry.
Our Role in I-GAME
Dracon Rules Design Studio contributes its expertise in game design and education to the project. We are particularly focused on integrating gaming mechanics into tools that foster critical thinking, teamwork, and problem-solving skills in learners.
Future Steps and Impact
As the project progresses, we will host workshops, testing sessions, and multiplier events to showcase the games and gather feedback. The ultimate goal is to create accessible resources that educators and organizations can use to enhance learning and inclusion.
Join Us on This Journey
We invite educators, game designers, and stakeholders to follow the progress of I-GAME and explore how serious board games can redefine education. Stay connected with Dracon Rules Design Studio for updates on this exciting project.
