Dracon RDS Joins the Kick-Off Meeting for “Speak It Up” Erasmus+ Project
Empowering Youth Through Public Speaking and Democratic Engagement
In January 2023, Dracon Rules Design Studio participated in the first Transnational Project Meeting (TPM) for the Erasmus+ project “Speak It Up: Youth Public Speaking Skills Development Towards a Democratic Society in Contemporary Europe.” Held in Malmö, Sweden, the meeting brought together a consortium of eight organizations from seven countries, including Sweden, Greece, Lithuania, Poland, Italy, Cyprus, and Bulgaria. This collaboration marks a significant step toward fostering youth engagement and advancing public speaking skills.
The Goals of "Speak It Up"
This ambitious Erasmus+ project aims to empower youth by:
Enhancing their public speaking abilities to better participate in democratic processes.
Promoting active civic participation and reinforcing a sense of initiative within youth communities.
Supporting youth workers and trainers with tools to cultivate public speaking skills among young people.
Through its innovative approach, “Speak It Up” aspires to inspire a generation of confident, articulate, and active participants in local, national, and EU-level democratic activities.
