Inclusive Minds Newsletter #2 – April 2025
A Board Game for Mental Health and Integration
Welcome to the second edition of our Inclusive Minds newsletter — a glimpse into how we're using play, conversation, and community to support migrant women’s mental well-being across Europe.
Despite increased awareness, mental health remains a taboo subject in many communities. For foreign-born women, immediate priorities such as employment, housing, and childcare often overshadow personal well-being. That’s why Inclusive Minds, an Erasmus+ co-funded project, is creating safe, supportive environments to spark honest dialogue and promote emotional resilience.
Breaking the Silence on Mental Health
A strong community can provide:
✔ Emotional support – being heard and understood
✔ Practical help – navigating jobs, housing, childcare
✔ Empowerment – building confidence and reducing fear
Understanding the Journey of Integration
Migrant women often go through four key phases:
- Excitement – Hopeful beginnings and optimism
- Cultural Shock – Facing language barriers and isolation
- Adjustment – Finding support and adapting
- Integration – Feeling accepted and building a sense of belonging
The Inclusive Minds Board Game
Our interactive board game, based on real-life interviews, addresses topics such as legal rights, employment, and adaptation challenges. It promotes:
