The mobility, hosted by Asociatia Share Education in Arad, Romania, combined theoretical sessions with hands-on activities. Participants discussed the use of market games, adapted game materials and simple objects that can help facilitators create more inclusive and engaging learning experiences.
Together with trainers and psychologists, the group analysed how games can support communication, attention, social interaction, confidence and cause-effect understanding. The discussions also focused on the role of the volunteer and facilitator, especially when working with people who may need more time, clearer instructions or adapted rules.
A key part of the activity was the development of draft game ideas. Participants started transforming the knowledge gained during the course into practical game concepts, receiving feedback from the trainers and improving their ideas step by step.
This hands-on process helped Dracon’s team better understand that inclusive game design is not only about making a game easier. It is about creating experiences where people feel safe, involved, respected and able to participate.
