Kick-Off Meeting of Competences4ESD Erasmus+ Project
Laying the Foundation for Sustainability Education
On June 20-21, 2022, the Competences4ESD project had its kick-off meeting in Łódź, Poland. This Erasmus+ initiative, titled "An Innovative ESD Key Competences Training Model for Teachers in the Frames of the 4SDG – Quality Education for All," brought together six partner organizations from Poland, Cyprus, Germany, Greece, Finland, and Slovenia.
The Vision of Competences4ESD
This project aims to redefine key competences for educators by developing an innovative training model to address the challenges of Education for Sustainable Development (ESD). By equipping teachers with the tools to engage their learners and school communities in sustainability discussions, the project promotes critical thinking, collaboration, and values for a sustainable future.
Highlights of the Kick-Off Meeting
During the meeting, partners:
Presented their roles and responsibilities in the project.
Discussed the project's objectives and management strategies.
Focused on the development of intellectual outputs, including Dracon RDS’s role in creating the Competences4ESD educational role-play game for trainers.
This role-play game is designed to simplify the understanding of ESD concepts and enhance engagement among educators and learners.
